Our curriculum aims to develop our students’ academic and practical understanding in the subject related industries, including Accounting and Finance, Marketing and Human resources thus equipping learners with the essential skills and knowledge to confidently demonstrate their ability and aptitude when progressing into Higher Education or the world of work.
The curriculum intent for law is to ensure that students develop their knowledge and understanding of the English Legal System in areas of both private and public law. Students will gain critical skills such as application of legal techniques and methods, analysis and offer answers to problems, based on legal principles, legislation and case law. They will construct conclusions and communicate persuasive legal arguments by reference to appropriate legal authorities. Finally students will be able to demonstrate critical awareness of the influence and operation of the law in society. Students have the opportunity to develop transferable skills that are relevant and required for both further study and either legal practice or any chosen career.

We also focus on developing the skills necessary for young people to be able to use information in a discriminating and effective way. They should be able to keep themselves safe online, use technology to be productive, creative and make full use of software that they may need in future careers or day to day life.

Our media curriculum aims to enable students to understand how the media and film industries
Our Media curriculum aims to equips students with the skills to work in the creative industries sector. We aim to develop student’s transferable skills in idea generation, teamwork, independence, and critical thinking through analysing and producing a range of media products which they engage in on a daily basis.

The curriculum has been designed over a five-year period that transitions from KS2 and leads to, further education and careers beyond school life. With food and drink being a vital source, one that a human cannot live without, students are taught the importance of a healthy lifestyle and how this can be achieved, by cooking a range of dishes.
Mapped against the national curriculum for music, our curriculum builds on the work at key stage two to give students a broad and varied music curriculum and enjoyment and insight into music. Students learn about the building blocks of music, actively engage in music making and listen to a range of music from different periods. Students cover a range of traditions and musical styles from around the world, engaging in techniques that complement the musical genre being studied. This broad grounding in the essential tenants of music leads to a deepening understanding of the music that they perform and to which they listen.

This course allows individuals to explore a range of topics within the travel and tourism industry such as UK travel, international travel, and characteristics of tourism to provide preparation for employment in the Travel and Tourism industry e.g. resort representative or manager, travel consultant, tour guide, cabin crew, cruise liner staff, visitor attraction manager, hotel manager, and tourist information manager.
BTEC Child Development Tech Award offers a range of topics to support students to gain a wide variety of knowledge surrounding areas of children’s development, how they play and how individual needs are taken into account when caring for young people aged 0-5years. This allows students to gather knowledge and skills to progress into further education or a career with young people.

Our spiral curriculum is aimed at developing a love of and confidence for maths, giving students the tools to apply their mathematical knowledge to solve problems in a range of situations.
Our curriculum is aimed at providing opportunities for learners to be able to confidently communicate with native speakers, both verbally and using written language. Learners will have an understanding of the culture in France and the French speaking world.
